Rooster’s Barbershop found its nest thanks to studiomateriality design studio
A classic barbershop with a twist is located in Alexandras Avenue in Athens and it serves the «new age» men.
The brief for studiomateriality was to create a place where customers can socialize, relax, listen to funky and rock n’ roll music, taste an ice-cold beer and enjoy a 1st class and traditional shave and grooming.
Rooster’s barbershop was designed in response to the above, without compromising on the spaces’ functionality.
The grooming stations are placed in front of white oak mirror frames and neon lights, creating a minimal and cozy environment.
Beside each station, the white oak is visible also on the floor, forming a dance-like floor surface and on a lofty space that is visible from the main space.
A green note is provided on the above floor with a row of plants highlighting the contemporary philosophy of the store.
A set of blue-colored tiles that are placed around the walls of the store along with blue metallic shelves and frames of the entrance, are intended to match with the grid metallic blue reception desk at the front center of the salon.
In front of the reception grid a kind reminder neon sign that spells “Stay handsome” welcomes or wishes goodbye to the fellow customers.
Undoubtedly, the eight grooming stations that one can count in the barbershop will have them and spoil them again.
Until then, grow your beard wisely.
