Tucked into just 12 square meters on Apóllonos Street in Plaka, SEPTEMBER is a tiny universe wrapped in feeling.
A microcosm of fashion, beauty, scent, jewelry, and conversation built for the curious and the connected. Studiomateriality imagined the space as a tactile diary: structured, graphic, and always in motion.
A silver grey metal framework shapes the interior sharp, modular, and exposed. MDF volumes in muted tones nest into it like punctuation marks, holding objects with intention. At ground level, a lime green floor slices through the space like a visual exclamation: vibrant, playful, and impossible to ignore.
Above, custom daisy lights float like thoughts soft, surreal, slightly nostalgic. Light here doesn’t just illuminate it reacts, reflects, and reframes.
But it’s the graphics that speak loudest. Words wrap around corners and climb walls: “September”, “Is there a shelter somewhere here?”, “About love and longing I mean. At least not now.” These aren’t slogans they’re fragments of shared moments, scattered like clues. They reflect the core of the space: a shop that values presence over product, community over commerce, and emotion over excess.
SEPTEMBER is compact but expressive. Minimal but not quiet.
It’s a space that sells objects but what you really take with you is the memory of being there.
